Faith Of Abraham redefines the relationship between Religion and Secularism, drawing on the life of Abraham to propose a universal way of life that transcends ethnicity, nationalism, and dogma.
ABOUT THE BOOK
In this book AK Sayed states that the Divine System does not contain any random opinion of God and Man. It has been evolved by using the Laws of Nature and the wider universe and the Guidance of God in keeping with the evolutionary nature of the creations. Therefore, after rejecting all the Religions of his time based on reason, Abraham used the Laws of Nature and the wider universe to believe in God as Creator, Sustainer, Protector, etc, of our universe, free of all dogmas and doctrines of Religion, and began to follow the secular, scientific and material path of the creation, which reflected the Creator’s Way of Life (Qur’an 3:83). And when Abraham agreed to explore this objective perspective of God, Religion and Secularism with the Guidance of God, God made him a “model for mankind” [Genesis (12:2-3), Qur’an (2:124)]. Hence, it was this “restrictive definition” of Secular and Religion and the Guidance of God, which helped Abraham to establish one Standard way of life for all humans, both Secular and Religious and a Government of God on Earth. And likewise, one spiritual Brotherhood and Sisterhood of Mankind in the midst of all their Diverse God-given sights and sounds; holy rites and ceremonies; churches and mosques, and Books and Prophets, in their pure form. This also helped him solve all the problems of Religion, Secularism, Ethnicity, and Nationalism we face today. Therefore, it is not surprising that Truth Seekers in the West, like Dr Michael H Hart, Rev Bosworth Smith, Alphonso de Lamartine and others concluded that Prophet Muhammad (s) was the only one in history who was “most extremely successful in both the secular and religious levels”.
